NO Days Road Show at Glass Delights - Pennsville, NJ

Welcome to Glass Delights on the beautiful shores of the Delaware River!

Streuter Instructor, Carrie Strope Sohayda recently visited Glass Delights in Pennsville, New Jersey on the beautiful shores of the Delaware River. It's a winding road past Supawna Meadows & Kilcohook National Wildlife Refuges, and through Fort Mott State Park to a quiet, quaint little neighborhood shop.
Lamps, mosaics, jewelry, etc...
When you walk in the door, you are greeted by inspiration and if you're shopping for a souvenir or gift, there's no shortage of ideas!

Gifts everywhere!

And if you need just that right piece of glass, shop owner Priscilla Haug will be happy to help you find it or order it for you! If you're thinking this shop or this story sounds familiar, you may remember that Glass Delights was highlighted in the Winter 2009 issue of Profitable Glass Quarterly!

We worked on a NO Days ThinFuse fused glass mosaic during the class portion of the day.  Once again, everyone was able to start and finish in just an hour and a half! (Even Jenny...) ;)

Jenny making sure that each piece is properly in place...

After breaking for lunch, we rocked on to the Demo portion of the day. Of course, it's hard to get pictures of yourself working, so I'll show you how excited Pris was to run the heat gun on the ThinFuse to heat set it before "grouting" with frit, or "frouting" with grit...sometimes the tongue gets tied...

Shop owner, Pris, was delighted to play along!
And, check out the work that Pris's right hand, Delsea completed in the bathroom, transforming a cramped space into an extension of the river!

Thanks for the hospitality, Pris!

By the time I left, the sun was down, but the lighthouse was shining!
