Ceramajam 2012 - Belmont, North Carolina

Frit Painting on Spectrum System 96 glass with Glassline Pens,
Carolina Frit and NO Days Liquid Fusing Adhesive

NO Days just returned from Belmont, North Carolina, where we attended Ceramajam 2012 at Bisque Imports. The theme this year was "Around the World" and everyone stamped their passports with "Glasslandia" after visiting the glass corner of the globe with NO Days and Spectrum Glass.

Filling in with frit after tracing the template design with Glassline Pens

The purpose of the short class session was to introduce ceramic folks to the wonders of glass and all that you can do with it. The NO Days project we worked on was frit painting with NO Days Liquid Fusing Adhesive, Spectrum System 96 glass, Carolina Frit and Glassline Pens.

Teresa was having so much fun, she had to call all her friends and let them know!

After tracing our templates on a sheet of clear glass with the Glassline pens, we blasted them with a hair dryer to dry up the paints and continue our paintings with Carolina Frit and Liquid Fusing Adhesive.
That's a look of amazement, right?
We filled in all the spaces with frit, building with more frit for a full fuse, less frit for a tack fuse...
and Voila!
Projects after 1-1/2 hour class, drying up a bit before going home to fire.
I hope I see some finished projects floating around the internet...be sure to tag Streuter Technologies or share your photo on our Facebook wall!
